Kenyarda Scott began singing at the age of 5, where he sung in churches, schools, and many more. These experiences have basically defined his life. Scott composed his first song “Mind of Christ”, which was recorded by Kenneth Martin and the Voices, a group from Flint, Michigan. Kenyarda has also written several others songs that were recorded by Odelia Dunlap and the Northwestern Community Gospel Choir, Kevelin Jones and Unified for Christ, and Derrick Milan and The Peters Rock Mass Choir. His recent recording and performances include Pretty Ricky, and the Florida Memorial American Gospel Choir who toured Germany and Spain. As the assistant to the Director of Music at Florida Memorial University, he was able to demonstrate many talents as a singer, composer, director and administrator.
During his sophomore year, Scott established the group Blaque Soul where they toured Georgia, Florida, Bahamas, Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, and Washington DC. During his junior and senior year, he became the director of Florida Memorial College Gospel Choir, The Florida Memorial University American Ensemble and many other groups. Kenyarda served as the student administrator for the European Tour, and had the privilege of sing for the UNCF Annual Conference and The UNCF Evening of Stars with famous guests such as Lionel Richie. Mr. Scott has sung for many social and public events such as Grassroots Promotions; Tampax Totally You Tour, Ebony Black Family Reunion , UNCF National Alumni Council/Pre-Alumni Council Central Region Conference Fellowship of Christian Athletes Orange Bowl Prayer Breakfast, The National Baptist Southern Region Youth Conference, The National Baptist Florida East Coast Convention, The Unified Free Will Baptist Mid-Atlantic Convention, Florida State Legislator Annual Luncheon, Dade County Public Schools Leadership Convention, Tom Joyner Foundation (Fantastic Voyage/Family Reunion), and the Melton Mustafa Jazz Festival.
Mr. Scott’s background vocal experience is extensive. He has sung background for many artist such as Pieces of a Dream, The O’Jays, The GAP Band, Blackstreet, Josh Groban, Bobby McFerrin, Karen Clark Sheard, Dorinda Clark Cole, Charlie Wilson, Kim Fields, COCO Brown, and Kim Burrell just to name a few. Kenyarda’s international travel includes: Maastricht, Lubeck, Wuppertal, Osnabruck, Gottingen, Tuttlingen, Munchen, Heidelberg, Halle, Nijmegen, Den Haag, Karlsruhe, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, Bahamas, Spain, Italy, Holland, Portugal, London, England, Berlin, and Cozumel.
Kenyarda recently graduated with his Masters of Science in Education with a Specialization in Interdisciplinary Arts Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and is now working on his solo project as well as establishing his businesses which include Voices of Tomorrow Foundation of the Arts, and Voices of Tomorrow, LLC.
